The redering Codec for the video component can be different from one AVI to the next. Helps improve MM with some, but not all Codecs.ĪVI files are actually a container for video, audio and other data eg subtitles. Basically anything Free from Microsoft is just not going to do the job. The problem is with MS MM and the inability of the programmers to produce a versatile software. Why should we go to the trouble of recording media in high quality formats, only to find that we have to go backwards and convert the file to some low quality Microsoft format. ![]() I have got the same problem here on my work laptop.
